Lijiang China

The scenery is breath taking. They offer lots of activities including sports, nature and cultural for families to participate in. I would like to shout out to GO Darren from the reception team who welcomed us and accommodated us with lots of initiative, and care to ensure we are well taken care of and given very comfortable and clean rooms. He also took the time to explain to us and offered us his personal WeChat account in case we need his help. Another shout out is to GO Alicia from the kitchen who despite being so busy, has taken the initiative to explain the food, and share with us places close by to go for shopping and sightseeing. She has also gone out of her way to show us care by packing a small goodie bag for the kids as she knows we have a long train ride the next day. Generally, the GOs are really fun and caring for all the guests. I also want to shout out to James from kitchen. He accommodated to our requests very warmly. As I have been to many clubmed villages, I find this clubmed lacks international engagement and warmth. Most of the GOs and staffs cannot converse in English. They also lack warmth maybe because of language barrier. There is definitely room for improvement on the culture and warmth that Clubmed prides on.

This is our family's second Club Med, and once again, Club Med has gone beyond the service that you can ever expect from any hotel today. It is not just that everyone in the family had fun; we created memories, made friends, shared amazing meals, bonded as a family.

But Club Med Lijiang went on step further. We had a small incident during our trip, and throughout the ordeal, the team behind Club Med Lijiang was assuring, and made sure that our kids were entertained and occupied even when we were dealing with our hiccup. No one wants an accident, and it was certainly no fault of Club Med. The incident reminded me of why Club Med is still a top-notch destination to go to for families.

Apart from their service, the location is not only convenient, it is simply breathtaking. Nested just below the gorgeous Jade Dragon Mountain, on a clear blue sky, every photo taken is just amazing.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Haily and her amazing GOs who made our stay there so memorable. I special shout out to Edna, who was within a Wechat away with every single silly question we had, or any request that we asked for, she was always there to answer them on the spot. To Sheba, who was always around my kids ensuring they are having a great time, be it in the kids club or the evening dance parties. To Alan, you hosted the most entertaining shows every night, and made it so much memorable when you got my wife and me on stage on our last night to perform, we had so much fun! And lastly, Sarah, who was caretaking our teen, you made her time in Club Med so memorable, she is asking when we can come again.

Club Med has redefined our view of what a holiday should be. We had great fun there. And for an family with young kids contemplating going to Club Med Lijiang, dont hesitate. You wont regret it. Jump on the bandwagon and see for yourself why we and thousands of family still go back to Club Med every year.

Our family had a great time in the resort. The resort itself is very pretty with spacious and very comfortable rooms.

It is located very close to Baisha Old Town, so we spent our first two days walking around and taking pictures in the beautiful neighbourhood. We also think it is good to get used to the height before hitting Yulong Mountain. There are tons to do in the resort. Among those, the Trapeze is a must try, as it is hard to find it anywhere else. I was really amazed by the Trapeze team of Kimmy, Kun, Paul, and Adib. They made something that looked so difficult possible. We have got very clear instructions, and the team was so encouraging. Some of us were scared of height and opted out after the training, but finally gave it a try after the team's encouragement. It was a really lovely experience, and I can't believe I managed to try something so exotic on my 52nd birthday. A big thank you to the team.

The Excursions to Yulong Mountain was also lovely. We visited Yun Shan Ping, Blue Moon Valley, Jade Water Village and BaiSha Old Town all in one day. The show Impression Lijiang was also really impressive.

We are already planning our next trip with Club Med for more China adventures.

I had a wonderful solo stay at ClubMed Lijiang! Even though I was quiet, the staff made me feel so welcome. They approached me, chatted with me, and made sure I had a great time.

A special shoutout to Tamer, the Turkish trainer, who was substituting all yoga classes when I arrived. I joined his flow, stretching, and foam rolling classes—his instructions were clear, and he was very patient. Beyond fitness, he gave me great personality training advice to improve my strength and even led fun cultural walks. He looks cool but is super friendly, and his fluent Mandarin was impressive!

Another standout was Oliverfrom Indonesia—an energetic, funny, and multi-talented guy! Whether in sports or performances, he never seemed tired, and the kids adored him.

I also appreciated Hulk, the bar manager, the souvenir shop and cafeteria staff, and the always-cheerful GM Haily. Everyone made my stay memorable. Highly recommend ClubMed Lijiang for solo travellers - you’ll never feel alone here!
