Kids club - a massive thank you to
Sophye! She had so much energy and care for our boys, the loved playing with the kids club. She sent us videos of them playing and was just amazing with the kids. This is really handy if you want to use the zen infinity pool. Although I’ve mentioned Sophie specially the whole crew were so nice.
Word to the wise, you can book per day or half day which works out £35 per half day. They also do an evening session as well. But you can book adhoc and it seems you need to book a week block but you don’t . That only applies to mini club med.
Cleaning & Rooms- we had Jeanie and she kept the room spotless! We had room 237 near the kid club and quite close to reception. She was so polite and realised we had a small one and installed a bed barrier to stop him falling out without asking. We saw her a few times and asked if the room was ok for us. She did an excellent job.
The whole place was spotless. I want to do a shout out to the garden crew as the grounds were beautiful. It does not like easy work but they made it a beautiful place!
We stayed in a superior garden view room. The view was nice but our friends has the sea view. My advice is if you can afford that bit more - do the sea view! Its amazing! The beds were so comfy. We slept like babies! The rooms have an iron and ironing board, little coffee machines (lavazza pods)
Food - excellent. The main restaurant is located overlooking the ocean. Really nice food and it’s a buffet style but the choice and quality was the best we have had. What we liked was the fact they themed it up. One night we had a bbq on the beach (white party) and another was a fish themed night with a Parisian show. A little shout out to Prima who was wonderful
With the kids!
We also ate at Le Pharh restaurant. Ryan was great at late breakfast as well as Vidhya who was excellent helping with reservations when the app was down. We did have a bad day when they seemed understaffed there and our SA friends bought some wine over from SA and were sometimes told to pay corkage. Their argument was that the wine was bad (muscat blend but the red was passable). Anyway it got overlooked but watch out. They will serve the local stuff but if you as for Smirnoff or something of that ilk they will do it but .. you need to
Ask! A little shout out to Dirish who was a lovely waiter/barman. Really attentive!
Pools - there are two pools. Now a point to make is that the man pool hosts aqua aerobics at 11.45 which in itself is fine but they use the shallow bit (where my kid was playing) and we sort of got booted out. Since the other pool is Zen and adults only (it’s lovely no complaints) i wasn’t overly happy being told to move to the deep bit with a 3 year old. Maybe use half the shallow bit as a compromise?
Gym - im a sad gym goer on holiday as i had time to do it. Well kept, plenty of towels there, water machine, I had nothing to complain about. It’s a hotel gym and ticked the boxes for me so was pleased. There is a steam room and sauna attached although I didn’t use them.
Activities - I thought they were quite a lot but my SA friends said it could do more. Scuba diving , snorkelling (go out on a boat), archery, golf, driving range etc… all included. We did the archery which we just had a pop at and our friends did paddle which looked fun and would loved to have tried but we were avec kids so we didn’t get the chance. Long and short we thought there was loads to do and loads we didn’t get time to try.
Overall a really great holiday and we would love to go back. We didn’t actually want to leave which is rare for us!
