La Pointe aux Canonniers Mauritius

Was my wife and I's first trip to Club Med and we had an amazing time. Great food, drinks, events, and lovely people. Really enjoyed how there was a party vibe by the main club and pool, and then a chilled vibe by the Zen pool. Really felt like whatever you were in the mood for, there was something for you.

So many people there helped make our stay a special one, but a shout out to Pauline who made our check-in and check-out so flawless. Dennis, who made the archery so much more fun with his crazy sense of humour. Andy who made our snorkeling trips so memorable. And Jason, a fellow South African who brought us beers whilst watching Rugby and made sure our drinks were always topped up.

The trip has definitely made Club Med fans out of us.

I visited Club Med La Pointe aux Canonniers in July with a friend during our trip to Mauritius. Before arriving, we had read some online reviews saying that most of the guests were French, and as two English-speaking Asian women, we were a little concerned about whether we’d feel out of place.

But from the moment we arrived, all our worries vanished. This turned out to be the best Club Med experience I’ve ever had. The village felt like one big, warm family—so welcoming and joyful that we truly didn’t want to leave. Every single day was filled with happiness and unforgettable moments.

The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious, with plenty of variety and fresh flavors that we looked forward to at every meal. And the nightly shows were amazing—fun, creative, and full of talent! You could feel the energy and passion in every performance.

I’d especially like to thank a few amazing people who made our stay extra special:
• Alouiahlem at the front desk, who always greeted us with a kind smile and was incredibly helpful and thoughtful;
• Alaska, whose fitness classes were professional, fun, and energizing;
• Atanas, whose Aquagym sessions were our absolute favorite—lively, entertaining, and so much fun! He also taught us how to play broceball, which we really enjoyed;
• And Jason at the bar, whose warm smile and unforgettable cocktails (especially the strawberry mojito!) truly made our evenings extra special.

If I had to mention one small area for improvement, it would be the way some restaurant staff interacted with the G.Os. At times, we noticed a lack of respect toward them during meals. In a place that feels like such a warm and inclusive family, I believe everyone—guests, G.Os, staff, and housekeepers alike—should be treated equally and with respect.

Still, I absolutely loved my time here and will definitely return. Thank you for the beautiful memories and the feeling of being part of something special. ❤️

Overall had a wonderful time at Clubmed. They really took care of us and spoilt us with the food, activities and entertainment. They have a wide range of excursions to do which shows you more of the country and environment. Pauline really took care of us during check in and check out, it was a smooth process. Snorkelling with Andy was an amazing experience and would recommend it. We also did archery with Denis, he is such fun but also ensures we are safe. Jason from the bar really went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and if we needed anything. I do believe we got such value for money, the teams there really make sure you have a great time. Also. that gelato bar has a place in my heart.

To the amazing bar staff—Jabeel, Ram, Steven, Sophie, Jason, and Momo—thank you for always making sure my glass was never empty, encouraging me to try new drinks, and doing it all with such warmth and genuine smiles. You made every moment by the bar unforgettable.
