Les Boucaniers Martinique - French West Indies

I am excited Club Med is building a Zen Oasis adult only section to the resort. Make sure you know the dates of the 3 week school vacation in France. My last full day the families started to arrive. Scuba was a very good price, which included all your gear. Trips to the dive sites took about 30 minutes. I am ready to go back again.

Great resort, amazing food overall even though I did suffer from diarrhea for a day (probably adventurous eating for dinner but still). Clean resort and modern throughout.

Thank you to all the GOs, Clara at fitness, Thibault, Virgil, Cyril and Tom at aqua fitness, Tom at water skiing, Magali at yoga, Éliane the housekeeper, Said the Chef du Village, all the staff at the restaurants, excursion office and the boutique staff

Although you will probably be a bit more at ease if you are a French speaker, if you can adjust to a more French rhythm of life you can really have a great time here. It has been many years since I took a Club Med vacation, and I was quite pleased at how they have upped their wellness game. Originally, I was thinking about booking a spa, and then, at the last moment I thought Club Med would be a better deal -- especially when I saw their wellness offerings. Magaly leads the yoga, meditation and Pilates classes and I was thoroughly impressed with her. Clearly she is just as knowledgeable as any of the fancy (and expensive) fitness/wellness classes I take in New York City. Additionally, she will take the time to learn your name and address any physical problems you may have -- she is truly a gem. All in all, the resort is a great place to chill out.

Here is what we liked of Club Med Les Boucaniers:

• Great activities for teens and adults, notably nautical ski and windsurfing;
• Amazing food;
• Dynamic GOs (and not annoying);
• Beautiful site / beach;
• Clean;
• Nice renovated rooms;
• Smiling and happy employees;
• Clean and nice pool;
• Bracelet opens door and safe;
• Birthday cake for daughter;
• Distribution of fruits, drinks, popsicles at beach by GOs;
• Beautiful flowers and gardens;
• Great shower products including conditioner.

Here is what needs improvement:

• Long to get suitcases
• Coconut fell on my head at beach, loungers under coconut trees is a bad idea;
• Lack of palapas on beach;
• Staff forgot to clean our room 1 day;
• Room A/C broke during supper but fixed next day;
• Lunch menu not accurate in app;
• Food at buffet not always labeled;
• Lack of bathrooms on site;
• L’O restaurant not at level of other restaurants;
• Camera in bus makes people seasick;
• Slow to fill water bottles at meals.
